Map to Internal Structure

Many organizations want to track contracts based on some internal structure, such as department, subsidiary, or business unit. Assigning a contract to your internal structure is straightforward in Lextree.

Departments

To assign a contract to departments requires a one time setup so that users can select them.

Navigate to Settings > Lookups & Fields > Departments. In the Add Department field, enter the name of your first department and select the Submit button. Repeat this step for all of your departments. You can add more departments later.

To delete a department, select the trash icon to the right of the name. To edit the name of a department, select the name. Lextree will display a popup form to edit the name.

Once you have added departments, users can select one or more departments on the Add Contract and the Edit Contract pages. To select more than one department, click in the Departments field to see a list of available departments and select the additional departments.

Entities

To assign a contract to legal entities in your corporate family (parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates) requires a one time setup of your entities so that users can select them.

Navigate to Settings > Lookups & Fields > Entities. In the Add Entity field, enter the name of your first entity and select the Submit button. Repeat this step for all of your entities. You can add more entities later.

To delete an entity, select the trash icon to the right of the name. To edit the name of an entity, select the name. Lextree will display a popup menu to edit the name.

Once you have added entities, users can select one or more entities on the Add Contract and Edit Contract pages. To select more than one entity, click in the Entities field to see a list of available entities and select the additional entities.
